The legislature passed HB-9 providing grants to cultural organizations. Rep. John Fitzpatrick (R-Anachronic) deleted funds to any groups that didn’t come to his subcommittee hearing with hat in hand. This gave him leeway to boost the funding for his wife’s group by 242%.
