While Montana’s delegation congratulated itself that public lands would not be going on sale, Sen. Steve Daines kowtowed to donors and inserted language in the Big Ugly Bill enabling widespread, low-cost leasing.

At the signing of the Big Ugly Bill, Speaker Johnson gave Trump the gavel he used to mark passage of this disastrous legislation. Seems symbolic of the Congressional Republicans’ complete capitulation.

All four of Montana’s congressmen toed the Trump line and voted for the worst legislation in history.

Governor Gianforte vetoed House Bill 551; it would have covered the co-pay for students’ reduced-cost lunches. This would have helped both families and school districts at a fairly low annual cost.

Montana’s congressional delegation fawned over Trump’s bombing of Iran.

Senators Mike Lee (R-Blootah) and Steve Daines (R-Monotony) have introduced an amendment to the Big Ugly Bill. It would mandate the sale of massive amounts of federal lands to private interests.

With reasoning that should never see the light of day, our governor vetoed a common-sense, no-cost bill that would allow electricity users to subscribe to a community-owned solar array.

The benighted energy policies of the Trump administration have led to an under-informed approval for the Bull Mountain Mine to expand. This threatens neighboring land and will accelerate global warming. And nearly all of the coal is exported to Asia.

Amid the hoopla of the Miles City Bucking Horse Sale, the governor trotted out Montana’s new “brand.” I’m curious about what the state paid for a PR firm to egest this.
