Missing Schweitzer’s “VETO” brand

May 7, 2021May 7, 2021 ~ jcolemanmoore ~ Leave a comment

Ten years ago, then-governor Schweitzer used a branding iron to theatrically veto “bat-crap crazy” bills. I miss that.

With bills like HB 258 (prohibiting enforcement of federal gun restrictions) and SB 277 (authorizing the Attorney General to overrule a Presidential Executive Order), the GOP is putting Montana on a collision course with federal courts.

About These Cartoons

j.c. moore started producing political cartoons in 1983, focusing on Montana issues.  For 10 years, his work was published weekly in local newspapers.  In 1992, he put down his pens and focused on music.  As 2018 rolled around, the political fodder was too rich to ignore, so he picked up his felt tips again.
