The efforts of these three legislators aren’t the only ones trying to weaken protections of Montana’s environment. But they do merit special condemnation.

This bill by Sen. Barry Usher (R-Billiwhack) would also exempt lawyers elected to any statewide office or serving as legislators. As lawyers, they would not be subject to disciplinary proceedings for violating rules of their profession.

Sen. Carl ‘the Grim’ Glimm (R-Killjoy) is again trying this tactic, even though his similar bill from last session is still enjoined by the court.
