Gov. Bullock has been coy about his political plans when he terms out.

Not a Montana topic, but I couldn’t help it.

In fairness to Daines, he wants to reduce Wilderness Study Areas, not eliminate them. Tester’s bill proposes to designate as wilderness 79,000 acres in the Blackfoot-Clearwater drainages.

Heh.

With services for disabled and impoverished Montanans tanking, there’s no shortage of finger-pointing.  Sen. Llew Jones sponsored SB86, the budget-busting bill of 2017. However, he blames Gov. Steve Bullock for mismanaging the state budget.

Black Butte is a controversial proposed copper mine in the Little Belt Mountains. The bit coin “mining” site in Butte has now gone online.

Secretary of the Interior (and former Montana congressman) Ryan Zinke took this stance even as the White House leaked a memo proposing the sale of public lands to finance infrastructure.

What Sales actually said was, “If they’re harassed and they don’t come forward, shame on them.”  He’s clearly ignorant of the dynamics of power and harassment, but he’s a lot of fun to draw.

I seldom depart from Montana topics, but Trump provides such rich possibilities, he’s hard to ignore.  Ask any cartoonist today.
